MARN and Anchor Press, Paper & Print (AP3) are pleased to present “AP3 at MARN: Materiality and Transformation”, an exhibition running August 7 – September 7, 2021 in the MARN ART + CULTURE HUB. Curated by Marilyn Propp, the exhibition celebrates the many forms of printmaking and mark-making. Thirteen Southeast Wisconsin artists who push their medium through installation, materials, and videos showcase works that address environmental issues, social commentary, and personal narratives. 

Featured artists include Anwar Floyd-Pruitt, Mary Hood, David Jones, Diane Levesque, Berel Lutsky, Gregory Martens, Jessica Meuninck-Ganger, Todd Mrozinski, Matthew Presutti, Marilyn Propp, Nirmal Raja, Julia Scheckel, and Rina Yoon. 

This exhibition is the first iteration of the MARN Partnership Exhibition, a platform for local initiatives that seeks to cultivate an exchange between MARN and community collaborators through the presentation of an exhibition and programming. 

Coinciding the “AP3 at MARN” exhibition, MARN will be hosting a zine workshop presented by Pink Salt Art Collective Saturday, August 21 (2:00PM – 3:30PM). 

An exhibition closing reception will be held Saturday, September 4 from 11:00-5:00PM. During the event, Anchor’s POW will offer the wider community a papermaking / pulp painting workshop from 11:00AM -2:00PM. Additionally, exhibiting artists will give a panel discussion on material and process starting at 3:00PM.
