Cultural Transformation

After undergoing a pivotal and self-critical evaluation, the Milwaukee Artist Resource Network is proud to announce our newly developed Office of Cultural Transformation as a vital component of our growth and impact as an organization. The Office of Cultural Transformation will activate MARN’s Strategic Plan within the framework of equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), leading a vision of MARN’s future where accessibility and community engagement is prioritized.

Guiding this vision, MARN is pleased to introduce our Director of Cultural Transformation, Brianna L. Hernández Baurichter, who will report directly to and collaborate with our President & CEO, Mal Montoya , on a unified and comprehensive cross-organizational EDI implementation plan beginning with the internal organizational culture, operations, and initiatives.

Overseeing the areas of Programming, Community Outreach, and Education, the Director of Cultural Transformation will ensure a thorough approach to implementing EDI and socially-engaged practices into the fabric of MARN’s public-facing resources and initiatives. Additionally, the Office of Cultural Transformation will collaborate with leadership at all levels of MARN including the Gallery Director, Advisory Committees, and Board, to consistently bring MARN’s EDI-centered Mission, Vision and Values to the forefront.
