RFP Deadline: May 28, 2021 / Exhibition & Programming: June 11 – July 13, 2021
The Milwaukee Artist Resource Network (MARN) is pleased to announce postp(own)ed, a Request for Proposals for exhibition and programming, running June 11 to July 13, 2021 within the soon to open MARN ART + CULTURE HUB.
postp(own)ed is a platform for artists to reinvent, adapt, and present an exhibition and or programming that was not able to be completed to its intended degree, or was canceled and or postponed indefinitely, due to complications from COVID-19. The goal of the event is to assist artists in taking ownership back during a time of unprecedented obstacles beyond any one person’s control. The exhibition theme, concept, and presentation will ultimately be informed by the proposal(s) selected.
Applicants of all mediums residing in the Southeast Wisconsin region are invited to submit fully realized work, exhibitions, or programming previously intended for an event scheduled between April 2020 to January 2022. Single work submissions, expansive exhibitions, installations, and programming are welcome. Proposals that push the boundaries of a traditional exhibition or event are encouraged. Multiple submissions may be selected depending on the body of applications.
