MARN  is pleased to host an Opening Reception for featured artist Anna Rose Menako on Friday, March 8th from 5-8pm at the MARN ART + CULTURE HUB (191 N Broadway).

We invite the public to enjoy specialty cocktails with the artist and to contribute to a collaborative painting in the gallery. RSVP recommended below!

During the Opening Reception and on Thursday and Friday nights in March from 5-8pm, guests are prompted to paint their interpretation of romance, and in particular, what it means to have a crush on someone. This participatory composition will grow as guests engage throughout the month.

But Soft, Sweet, and Dreamy centers around Anna Rose Menako’s most recent series of mixed media watercolors and hints at the interdisciplinary nature of her practice. Her new body of work, The Crush Series, encapsulates the innocent and timeless feeling of having a crush, and ushers in springtime as it blooms in the MARN ART + CULTURE HUB.

Anna Rose Menako is a Midwest-based visual artist who dabbles in music, performance and wearable arts. In addition to her work as a muralist since 2020, she has more recently returned to her roots in painting and drawing.
