Opportunities for Artists

Community Art Wall RFP – Key Info

Why This Matters The Nature & Culture Museum of Wisconsin is commissioning a major public artwork for its new building. This installation will be one of the first things visitors see and should reflect Wisconsin’s natural environment and community voices.
What They’re Looking For A large-scale installation (not just a mural) inspired by nature in Wisconsin. The work should be creative, dimensional, or interactive and must include community engagement as part of the process. The piece will be installed in a public, high-traffic space and should be durable and accessible. Budget is $75,000 total, including artist fee, materials, engagement, and installation.
Key Deadlines Questions due April 10, 2026. Proposals due late April / early May 2026. Artist selected May 2026.
Bottom Line This is a high-visibility opportunity to create a community-driven artwork that will welcome visitors to a major new museum.

MARN is excited to reconnect with our artist members through the return of a favorite tradition - the MARN Member Show — Where all members are encouraged to showcase their artwork.
